About book Siren In The City (2010)

Kick-ass continuation of the Siren series; it was awesome to check in with my favourite almost-threesome. The introduction of Julian Lodge added a whole new level of kink to the series and I found myself hoping that even when this one ended, we'd be reading Julian's story before long. The gentle introduction to the BDSM lifestyle in Small Town Siren gets a little edgier here, and it's nice to be pulled along with the characters into the darker, more luscious world of The Club. Thank you, thank you, thank you Sophie Oak, this book is another pearler. If I could give it 6 stars out of 5 I would. It is actually better than the first book, and that's high praise indeed! I just love the main trio in this book, and how lovely to see them back and dealing with life in the aftermath created by the (late) bitchnails Ruby Echols. Jack has PTSD after being shot defending Abby and has distanced himself from Abby and Sam. He heads off to Dallas to assist in family matters that also involve his old mentor Julian, after royally ticking off his partners by leaving a paltry see-you-later note. Sam and Abby will not tolerate this at all and set out on their own (spending and motorcycling bravado) adventure to get Jack back and be a family unit again. Well, there are lots of laughs, Sam and Abby wreak havoc, learn a few lessons, Jack gets his mojo back (in an even sexier way, God who knew that was even possible), and picks up a new family member or two to boot. I love this series, it lacks for nothing. There are totally lovable MC's (especially Jack, I'm afraid I'm utterly smitten), plenty of down to earth humour, a lovable, angsty head Dom in Julian, a bad guy or two, the mafia, who knew? a shower of undies, more 'cubed' transportation and lots of steamy lovin', including some yummy m/m/f action. If you haven't started this series get cracking, it is fabulous to the power of 10.
