About book Stealing Grace (2000)

The most horribly cliché book that I have ever read...interesting enough to hold my attention but had me cringing in horror ever so often. After the first quarter things just went downhill...surreal on a never-before-seen level. The relationship between the Alex and Elena had me rolling my eyes most of the time because it was in no way believable! An interesting premise of human trafficking and messed up communities that float under the radar of normal society; too bad it was executed poorly. I just finished Stealing Grace. This is a book about a subject that a lot of people don't like to hear about. Human trafficking is something you think happens in counties where the people are poor. Well to tell you the truth it happens everywhere. Its sad that men/women do thing sort of thing to other humans. Shelly Crane bring this gut wrenching story to you in a way that you can tell what the girls/women are dealing with when they are take. What's really sad about this its not only women that are taken. You get a small look into how some of the people rape, and beaten by the person who buys them. Some who don't make the grade standard are taken from the group of others and never seen again. If you can't handle a story that covers this subject you might not enjoy how the story is told and all the different things that happen to someone who goes against the family. You will cry a lot as well as laugh at some of the silly things are said. Personally I think every mother and father should read this book. Its an eye opener to a touchy subject.
