About book Still Into You (2012)

What married couple hasn't found themselves in a rut ?This is the case with Seth and Leila. They are still very much in love with one another, but are lacking in their ability to communicate in and out of the bedroom.Seth asks Leila's brother, Jace, for some advice. Jace suggests The Ranch. Seth gets Leila a weekend trip to the Ranch to explore her fantasies.Together they grow closer and discover that each other is exactly what they need. 3.5I wish GR had a half star option. I'd give this 3.5 and Crash into You 4.5.***spoilers***I did like this book. I really enjoyed the premise behind it, the married couple bogged down by life, disconnected, and deep in a rut. I think that anyone married for any substantial amount of time can likely relate to this. They were both 3 dimensional and I felt for them. The sex scenes were sexy and I devoured the book in one sitting. So why 3.5 stars...I don't think this book had any business trying to fall into the BDSM genre. I did like the dance/threesome scene but I had a huge problem with the husband acting all "Dom" to get her into this threesome, enjoying himself, then having the nerve to act disgusted with her about it afterward! OMG, I wanted to punch him! The audacity of that STILL pisses me off. Then he left her there? For the job that she had already made clear was a problem for her? That felt out of character for him considering his desperation to fix their marriage. All in all it just didn't ring true to me and I felt like she was suppose to be ashamed for having the fantasies she was having, just like he decided he had to pretend to be completely vanilla (which in my opinion he was anyway) so that he could be "good enough" for her. I didn't like the general feeling that anything outside of vanilla was something to be hidden and ashamed of.Those issues aside it really was a worth while read and I'm happily moving straight to Melt into You.
