About book Svůdné Zlo (2013)

I've read many angel books over this past year, but I have to say that Sweet Evil, By Wendy Higgins, was very well written. Angel books can be very crappy or very good because it's either one or the other. These types of books can be very poorly written but this one wasn't. I went into this book thinking that the love story of this book was going to be cheesy on so many levels but... no I was completely wrong. Kaidan is... give me a moment. SWOON. FANGIRL. OMG Lord help me. This story brought a couple feels to the surface and sometimes that really good. This book was a lot different from what I was expecting. I have been reading a lot of young adult fantasy. I have a thing for really strong female leads that results in me devouring these kinds of books like chocolate chips. I have to admit that I was/am getting really tired of the fact that they all seem to have the same basic plot. Female who lives a relatively normal life starts to suspect that she may be a little different from everyone else. Usually a really hot guy comes in, recognizes her for what she is, and then enlightens her. She then grapples with it, eventually accepts it, then becomes super powerful and amazing. When I read reviews on this I figured it was generally the same thing. I was kind of right, but mostly wrong. The book grabbed me from the first page. There's something about the way that the author writes that just makes me want to keep reading. When I recognized the warning signs for the same trite plot I almost stopped reading. However, I really wanted to give the book a chance as it had some majorly good ratings. I read on, and boy am I glad. The basic plot devices that I talked about are used, but not in a way that you would expect. Yes the main character is different not only from the human world, but the new world that she has to try to blend into. It doesn't put her at an advantage though. If anything, it puts her at a major disadvantage. She handles that, and attempts to stay strong. She works very hard at maintaining who she is, not letting her discoveries change her values or beliefs. She still easily recognizes right and wrong, even if she struggles with avoiding the latter. All in all, I loved the book. It was easily one of the best that I have read in a long time, and I can't wait to read the sequel and all the other books in the series.

Do You like book Svůdné Zlo (2013)?

sometimes I just don't get how Kaiden is thinking. He can be really frustrating at some point but you just can't help but fall head over heels for him... i like how the plot went for this book and how the characters developed and getting to know each other better and these just makes the book so much more interesting, understand better and love the characters much more. the ending was just so heartbreaking for me and I didn't like it... Kaiden and Anna should be together, OTP for life. but their situations and their father just prevent them being together and it was just so frustrating seeing them trying to struggle. their love is just so cute but heartbreaking... i don't really ship Anna and Kopano together though, i get that Kopano is a really good guy, but sometimes he just doesn't give off the vibe that he wants Anna, but just a mutual feeling like he is just treating her as a friend sometimes. Overall i enjoyed reading this book so much and I give it 5/5 stars ⭐
