About book Sword Of The King (2012)

While dragons had been a part if previous novels in this series, this book is all about them so if you wanted to know more, this is for you. Unlike the rest if the series, this novel has no cases and focuses exclusively on the dragons and making a better life for them outside if the pits. Throw in some old world snobbery and a lot of UST and you've got a good story. It did take me by surprise how different this book was from the others in the series but I really liked it once I got into it and there is quite a bit of sexing provided so if you missed that in previous volumes, this one makes up for it. This book starts out Blaze and Erie, but ends up totally Ken and Amr for me. There was a particular scene near the end that turned me into a sodden mess. (No spoilers.) This is the second book in the Dance series I've read (oh dear, I'm doing it all out of order) and I had to go back and re-read bits of Dance Only for Me to revisit the Ken and Amr cameos, which had a great deal more meaning for me! As usual, once I picked up one of Megan's books, I was hard-pressed to put it down until I'd consumed the entire thing. I really loved the whole concept of the dragons and the clans, I hope we'll get to see more exploration of that some day.
