About book Texas Fury (1989)

This is the 3rd book in the series about the Coleman Family. Although this book stands well on its own I think it would be better to read this series in order, if possible. Unfortunately the library does not have the first 2 books, Texas Rich & Texas Heat but it does have the 4th book Texas Sunrise. I have started with this book so it was hard to put everyone in their place and where in the family they sit, but in the end I worked it out. There is Billie Coleman Kingsley and her husband Thad – she is matriarch of this family. Other characters are Billie’s sister in law Amelia Coleman Assante and her much younger husband Kerry, Billie’s daughter Maggie Nelson and her husband (Ameilia’s stepson) Rand, her grandson’s Coleman Tanner (Maggie’s son) and Riley Coleman (the son of Billie’s son Riley who married a Japanese lady) and her granddaughter Sawyer Coleman. Rand finds out her has a daughter he never knew about, Riley and Cole fall in love and Sawyer agrees to marry Adam Jarvis, a neighbour she has been in love with for a long time.A lot happens in this book and it takes place in Japan, Texas, New York, England and Hawaii. There is sadness and happiness but I loved it.

One more down in the Coleman saga. So this book was unbelievably sad for me in some parts (view spoiler)[especially at the end when Amelia and Mr. Hasegawa die (hide spoiler)]

Do You like book Texas Fury (1989)?

A lot happened to the Coleman family in this book. New family members emerged and one or two family members left. This book began a little on the slow side, but soon I could not put it down. Since I like historical books and/or mystery books or books like this one on the Texas series line, I kinda ignore Fern Michaels' attempts at her sex fantasies that she feels she must put into these books. Doesn't add anything to the story. I skipped those pages. Fortunately, there has only been one or two in each of these books. Other than that, this book took in a lot of events and brought a lot of people and families together.
