About book The Devil Wears Kilts (2013)

Story flowed well, writing was good, and the characters were good.I'm just weird. I like Highlander/Scottish/Irish and time traveling but I don't usually enjoy reading about England, London and the whole Victorian era with the balls and "high" civilized society. So with saying that I find myself actually admitting I enjoyed this book.Ranulf the Marquis of Glengask and the leader of one of the last clans in Scottland that isn't selling out to the English, finds himself in London. Planning on finding his sister Winnie and hightailing it back home; what he didn't plan on was staying a bit and falling for an Englishwoman.Lady Charlotte Hanover stands up to him and they debate constantly over many things, so why can't he get her off his mind. She also finds herself intrequed and drawn to this big 'brute'. So that's the basics. We also get a bit of mystery of who is behind the bad things happening and even a decade old feud gets handled. I liked it. Hey I even found out a dance card was actually a card where men would ask a woman to a dance and write their name on the card reserving their spot to dance. I learned something so a win for me. Lol. I read this in an afternoonIt was good, i have a super soft spot for Scottish historical romanceoften times after a string of serious books i pick up a light and easy romance readany romance, must have highlanders in it to peak my interestthis book delivered on all fronts, likable characters, plenty of highland referencesit was a perfect romance filler and acomplished exactly what i needed at the time
