About book The Ex Games (2009)

This was a cute book, but I'd be lying if I said it was this author's best work. I liked the strong characters and the writing was excellent, but I think the plotting could have been tighter. You can tell this was one of the author's earlier books by how much she's grown. If you liked this book, or if you almost liked this book, check out her other ones - Such a Rush, Levitating Las Vegas, Dirty Little Secret - are all EXCELLENT examples of how awesome her writing has become. This book brings me back to middle school because of the simple and fun read that i just flew through. Hayden and nick, the main characters, have competition with one another to a boarding contest. This book made me think of all the drama that happened in middle school and it simply brought a smile to my face. This book has the basic girl crushing on boy, boy teasing girl and some more crushes here and there with this one and that one. Overall, this book was fun to read and brought up memories of school. Not bad :)
