This is the first in a series of books set in Pittsburgh. Being from the Burgh and knowing the geography intimately, I was especially drawn to the series. The locations in the books are all real and he is true to the geography of the region even down to the specific routes one would take while crossing town in rush hour. The mysteries are average (not up to par with the likes of Scudder, Davenport, or Fletch) but if you are from Pittsburgh or live there now, you will thoroughly enjoy the series. I thank my buddy Phil for turning me onto these books!
