About book The Sorceress (2009)

I felt myself losing interest through portions of this book -- yes there were new monsters attacking, but it seemed like the same plot repeated over and over again. I'm not sure how many more days I can take of the twins and Flamel facing Dee's latest challenges, using up almost all their strength and aura power in defeating him once again, then escaping just to turn around and do it all over again. I did enjoy stinky Shakespeare though -- fun character. Not a fan of all the thousands of spiders and bugs in this volume, and giant spiders are never a positive for me in any book, even if he did help Perenelle survive. I feel I should finish this series, but I can't really say if its literary interest or just an OCD need for closure. This book read as better paced to me than the first two, and we saw a lot of new characters, concepts, and mythologies... Though he still focus the least on Perenelle, who is in my opinion the most interesting character. Overall, the characters outside of he main group showed a lot more emotion and personality in this book. I feel like he has found his groove for this story, and I look forward to reading the next three.

Still entertaining, though I am tired of most of the main characters which makes it less enjoyable.
