3.5 stars from me and here's why: It would've benefited being told from first person. One of the best parts of the show was hearing Veronica's snarky inner dialogue. While we get a few snippets here and there it wasn't enough. There also was very little in the way of supporting characters. They all make their little appearances here and there but they mostly serve to further the plot. Logan is stuck on a damn boat the entire time, and we get barely any of the dynamic chemistry that made them so entertaining. I hope in the next book he is around. The plot was interesting and with most V Mars mysteries there is more than meets the eye. It had a touch of noir which I really enjoyed. The real winner for me will always be the relationship between Veronica and Keith. The book certainly didn't disappoint and I am looking forward to the next one. I absolutely adored this book and I read it in one sitting - the writing was PERFECT and felt exactly like watching the show. It was so much fun to hear all the characters voices in my head as I read; to picture their mannerisms and the settings and the little looks shared between characters. Such a unique experience, since novelizations of TV shows generally don't hold a candle to the original show. This was wonderful. I can't wait for the next one, and I hope there are more.
Never seen the TV series but this was a fun story, well read by Kristen Bell.
