Este libro es atrayente, fluye bien, en ocasiones hace que el corazón se te congoje, y muy romántico, pero tiene el mismo problema que casi todos los libros de Harlequin, sin desmerecer, me encanta esa editorial. y es el que los hombres son fuertes machos agerridos y territoriales, que enamoran a inocentes o desprotegidas chicas, aunque a veces por lo menos son independientes y con carácter, a veces, y que las tratan pesimo durante el libro, y al final se dan cuenta que fueron unos imbeciles arrogantes y en vez de hacerlos sufrir y ponerselas dificil, los perdonan como si nada, esa es mi mayor critica a esta serie de libros y a los que he leido, que son muchos, es la falta de carácter y de amor propio de las protagonistas femeninas, porque una vez que te hieran puede llegar a perdonarse, pero una segunda y una tercera...en verdad que esta protagonista es masoquista...por eso my rating I really enjoyed this story. There was so much packed into this short story. I really don’t know where to begin with this review. I don’t want to give too many details, and spoil the book for you. Jewels, and Piers met, and spent one sizzling night together before Jewels started her new job. I’m not sure who was more shocked when jewels showed up to work. Piers, or Jewels. Neither thought their paths would cross again. Now Jewels was there to be the assistant for Piers. He left on a trip and called his personal department and had her fired. Five months later Jewels in in the hospital. The story actually starts with her in the hospital, than goes back in time, and forward again. It sounds confusing, but the story flowed smoothly. Jewels is pregnant with his daughter. She is having complications. The hospital will not discharge her until they are certain Jewels will have someone with her to care for her. She only has one friend, and he can’t come. She had no choice but to call Piers. Maya banks really knows how to write an emotional story that pulls at your heart. This story was beautiful written. I loved the Happy ending that they all got. The other characters really enriched this story. I loved the sister in laws. By the end of the book I warmed up to Pier’s brothers.
