About book The Vigilante's Bride (2010)

This was a fairly predictable, yet enjoyable book. It kept my interest till the end and I was able to read it quickly. I enjoyed the romance between the two main characters and there were some fairly tense and dangerous situations that they experienced.Luke and Emily's relationship was fun to watch develop. They were both rather strong personality types and had some clashing going on throughout a portion of the story. I will say that the ending felt a little abrupt to me, however, it was a satisfactory ending. If you are a fan of western romances with some danger thrown in, this might be a book you would enjoy. 4.5 stars. But I'm giving it 5 stars here because I just had so much fun reading this book. I loved this book. Perfect Old West story/ historical Christian romance. I came across this book by accident and what a happy accident! The title and the beginning of chapter 1 are misleading. If you are looking for a very silly romance with lots of lovey dovey scenes, this is not your novel. Now, if you like a good fast-paced story with a strong male character and good historical features, you should give this one a try. People may look at the cover and think of this book as a mere girl's book. I would say it's anything but that. Ladies, have your husbands read it with you, I think they'll enjoy it. The main characters are Luke, the vigilante, and Emily a girl from Chicago who ends up in Montana to marry an old man rancher. Most of the story revolves around Luke and his battle to save the land of New Hope (an orphanage in Montana), as well as his struggle with his life as a vigilante. The religious aspect of the book comes with Luke's struggle to believe in God, but the author doesn't push religion in this book. Luke is a bad boy, yet a good guy. Let me just say that Luke was such a well developed male character that at times, while reading this book, I forgot it had been written by a female author. Oerall, slightly predictable at times, but an awesome read. Rate: PG-13 violence. Clean language and clean sexual content.

I really enjoyed this book. The romance was well done. I might have found a new favorite author.
