This is a nice prequel novella to the Immortal Rules series. It follows the main two characters as they discover the new strain of virus that was created that turns the infected into rabids. It was pretty much insta-love through and through but otherwise it was pretty decent. I definitely recommend reading this while you read the Immortal Rules series not because it explains everything but because it gives you a glimpse of what the characters in The Immortal Rules were talking about when they talk about 'before' the rabids came and people still had some hope. Blood of Eden is definitely a must read, five stars for this story. Creepier than the immortal rules, but just as good. I was worried it might not be as good because sometimes authors just keep stretching a good story to try to get more books out of it and it ends up being boring. This was not the case, I had to finish it in one sitting even though I wanted to make it last. I do think the short sexual did not need to be so graphic. it made me cringe. I didn't expect it. I did not plan on even reading the other 2 stories in the book but ended un enjoying Thistle & Thorne a lot.
I liked all three stories, though I found the first and the third a little slow in places.
