About book Tuesday The Rabbi Saw Red (1974)

rare foray into fiction for me, but I got the referral from a trusted source and enjoyed this murder mystery very much. Set in a small liberal arts college in the late 60's/early 70's. The Rabbi fills in at last minute to pick up a course in Jewish Studies and runs headlong into the culture shock awaiting most new college teachers ("wait a minute. Not everyone is fascinated by the subject matter! what are they doing here, then?"). He and the students shape each other over the course of the semester, and along the way the reader painlessly learns a fair amount about Judaism. The details of the murder itself take up a fairly small portion of the book.Pretty funny and lighthearted. I don't generally read murder mysteries so not sure about points of comparison. But from TV, I'd say this is more "Murder, She Wrote" than "Cold Case".

Rabbi takes job teaching at wildmere christian college. professor killed - bust falls on head - whodunit

Do You like book Tuesday The Rabbi Saw Red (1974)?

LOL I always think that about mystery sleuths. How does murder keep finding them? Are there more than 7 of these books? It seems like you have cycled through the days of the week more than once.
