About book Vampire Knight, Band 17 (2014)

honestly i'm not all that clear on what's going on? and i can't tell whether that's the writing's fault or whether that's just because it's been awhile since i read the last volumebut hey, yuki and zero appear to be getting along which is a balm to my shipper's heartkaname continues to be a swirling enigma of questionable choices. does anyone know why he's decided to go for vampire genocide? does anyone know why the heck his friends are still backing him? p sure the answer to both is noi also have no clue why zero's backing sara when iirc she's the reason his brother's dead but ehh. vampire knight: a mass of confusion buoyed by pretty art and shipping3 stars I'm wondering about series I had started reading, then stopped, forgetting about it. That is until looking then up again and finding that there's more volumes or books in that series. It's like that with this one.I remembered the anime a little more, having watched it then afterwards, the manga.I'll admit, with each volume it has its good and bad moments. Or just okay moments. It's the same with this but still good. The art is still drawn good but at times, creeps me out a little. Anyway, a little surprised I read this far into the series. Not that I don't like the series. I do.Also, I feel more for Zero's characters. No offense to Kaname fans. I'll say though the art on the chapter title pages are drawn well.

Do You like book Vampire Knight, Band 17 (2014)?

2.5 stars. So much dripping angst. I love angst, I really do, but not when a story is drenched in it. I suppose with a Gothic story about vampires one should expect a lot of emotional turmoil, but I'm finding it a bit bland, especially our heroine, Yuki. With only a couple of volumes to go to the end of the series, I'm simply along for the ride at this point as I watch everyone self-destruct. That, at least, is somewhat interesting.

Kaname seems to be taking a turn and I don't know if I like it. This series is coming closer to it's end, which is a bit sad. I've been pretty dedicated to it since it was serialized in ShojoBeat magazine in my teen years. I just cannot get enough of the mini comics in the side bars and chapter break pages. Too cute! I love this author (Matsuri Hino) very much and I hope she continues to write wonderful stories!
