About book Veined (2011)

I absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait to read the other two in the Guardians of the Angels trilogy. PROS:- The pace of the plot is perfect. It doesn't gallop along, leaving you breathless; it also doesn't drag and leave you snoring! The slower parts help us feel what Sylva Lark is experiencing. - The descriptions are well-written. Sometimes you have to slow down your speed to follow action scenes, but not in this book. I was able to follow all of the scenes and actions without rereading to clarify. - The plot is unique and riveting. - There's a bit of Greek mythology (a personal favorite) mixed into the angel mythology. CONS:- I don't like love triangles. At all. However, the triangle played a part in the plot outside of character development for Lark; the men play important parts in the story, and their interactions with Lark affect their choices. Also, she has a more realistic attitude toward the two men, realizing early on that her feelings for one aren't really there; she chooses to avoid telling him until after a school dance (to avoid ruining everyone's night), and that's the way a normal person would handle it. Favorite scene: (no real spoiler, though)- Lark is at home, preparing the table for dinner. The doorbell rings, and she goes to check on the door. When she opens it and sees a guy that's been pissing her off, she immediately slams the door in his face. Then she yells at him through the door until her mother makes her let him in. I LOVED IT! Her honest reaction was satisfying and entertaining, and it's one of many thanks to her spunk. I can’t remember a book grabbing my attention from the very first page and I never wanted to let go. This is a wonderfully written novel. I LOVE Attic! The name alone makes you want to read and find out if that’s his real name and honestly just to get to know the guy more. The main character has just awoken from a coma in a strange room with a strange man. She doesn’t remember the events that lead to this moment. If you are looking for adventure, hot guys and killer twists than this is the book. This is the first book I’ve read of Anyta Sunday. I can honestly say that this will not be the last. I really need to know what’s going to happen next!!
