Let's just say that this book only gets a star because I t has to, and that I'm only considering it "Read" because I cannot bring myself to finish it. This book was absolutely horrid and if anyone is even considering purchasing it or reading it I would advise against it, especially if you have not read the first book in the Scandia "series." (If you would dare call it that) The first book, The Princess Plot was okay but not great while this one was horrible on all fronts. It seems like something an eight year old would write, and I do not mean this to be mean to the writer. I just truly think the writer should consider tweaking her style a little before writing a third one...I would not recommend this book Have I mentioned that I'm a sucker for a happy ending? I liked this book more than the first one. It seemed to have more depth to it. I didn't think I was going to care for it at the beginning because it was a little too Mean Girls for me, but that really did help develop the story. I still think the main character is a little too wimpy, but she showed more backbone in this book. The romance was awkward and convoluted, which I think is probably pretty accurate for this age group.
