Another cool addition to the series-- I love the dragon shifters. The world the author has created is amazing. The only small negative I had involved the parts of the story explaining the heroine's organic business and philosophy. I thought it seemed a tad stiff and information. I garden organically so I'm really interested in the topic, but even I thought it came across almost like a "lecture". I loved everything else about the story, and can't wait for the next one! This is the fourth book in the Dragonfire series and this time the firestorm is between Delaney and Ginger. Outcast from the Pyr because of his own dangerous impulses, Delaney will do anything to destroy Magnus and vows to complete a mission which will either redeem him or end his suffering. However, his plan doesn't include his sudden firestorm with the hot-tempered Ginger. The firestorm reforms Delaney closer to his old self but he still won't give up his mission and refuses the help from his Pyr brothers choosing to go it alone. I really enjoyed this book as we get to learn more about Delaney. I find him to be one of the more interesting dragons in the series as he was forced into becoming a Slayer against his will. With the help of his Pyr brothers he is able to come back into the light but still struggles with his inner demons. Ginger is likeable and well-suited for Delaney. Deborah Cooke's heroines all seem to be confident and strong-willed women. I look forward to the next book in the series. Hopefully one day soon Rafferty will get his firestorm. He's one of my favorite characters. It would also be really nice to have one or two of the dragons pursue the female instead of the other way around.
