I love this series - book 4 being no exception. The main difference between this and the other books in the series so far is that this one was a little more serious but even though the little snippets of humour in the other books give it that edge, that in no way detracted from this story or it's brilliant-ness. Yvette is much like the other female characters - strong, fierce and ready to kick some butt. Haven is a bounty hunter, hell bent on killing as many vampires as possible in revenge for the death of his mother. But as with most things, circumstances are not always what they seem as Haven finds out towards the end of the book.The pace is fast, the story line great and the characters are engaging. Brilliant! Another action packed Scanguard book. Each one has different mate combination twist with hot sex scenes. This one was witch and how you can't always trust them. I'm glad Yvette got her mate. She deserves to be happy. I was hoping one of her dreams would out at the endI feel sorry for Haven though. He's spent his whole life working for a lie. But I'm glad he found his sister. His sacrifice at the end was inspiring, but it worked out.Favorite scene: the puppies.
