About book A Baby's Cry (2012)

I admit, I knew nothing about foster parenting. This book was an eye-opener. These are amazing people who take the responsibility of foster parenting. It's not only a huge moral responsibility, it involves a lot of physical effort and mental strength as well. Beside that there is this huge number of people who are working behind the scene, on executing the process so successfully. It's a touching story about a mother who for reasons of her own, has to give up her own child for foster-parenting and subsequent adoption. This tells about this whole process and in particular the story about little Harrison and his mother.A tad too sweet and enormously detailed at times, it gets you interested in the process, if you are not already aware of it, like me. The book is perfecty done again by Cathy Glass! but i did not like to be involved in another child's story in the same book! that's why i wil give it 3 stars! Cathy was fostering Harrisson a new born baby for months, during that period, she had to take care of another fostered girl for a period of one week, during which she discovered her disturbing story, so a large paragraph in Cathy\s book was dedicated to this girl with the abuse and complications that she encountered during her life with her mother. So, a big story that could not be told in one or two pages.Otherwise, the book is perfectly written and there was a happy ending for Harrisson as he returned back to his mother.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as others I've read. A fast read, overly descriptive at times.

A heartbreaking story. The kindle version had some editing issues that were distracting.
