Firefighter, Mal has just broken up with his longtime girlfriend. It's been a couple of weeks and he decides it's time to visit his neighborhood local gay bar. He runs into the younger and gorgeous Will. They dance a bit then Will goes home with Mal and the Sparks really fly. When Mal gets to work the next morning he has to show a couple of new guys around the station. Imagine his surprise when one of those new guys is Will. Will they be able to keep their relationship work related only? These guys were hot together. I usually don't like an age difference in my characters, but Chris wrote this book so well, that I didn't even really think about it. It didn't creep me out(and usually age gaps do). Chris wrote a Sexy, Hot, low angst book. The sex was hot and plentiful! I am looking forward to book 3 for the conclusion of Mal and Wills story. This book wasn't romantic in the least, I'm pretty sure it was suppose to be though. Okay, so truth be told, I didn't like Mallory, there was just something really unlikable about the guy. Kinda felt like he was using Will a lot o the time. Will was a sweet guy, felt like he rolled over and just took whatever Mallory was willing to give him. Which wasn't much.Also, the whole, they are an interracial couple thing threw me for a loop every time it was said. I honestly at first couple figure out which on of them was black (the first time they danced) and I had to be reminded. Apparently it was a big thing thought since it was mentioned a lot.

Not as good as 911 in my opinion but a super cute story.
