This has been sitting on my TBR shelf for ages, and I'm glad I finally picked it up. I wasn't aware it was the last book in a connected series, but that doesn't interfere with the enjoyment of the story. Andrew Hunter is an agent for the War Department, Lady Kate is a lovely earl's daughter known for her great beauty and extreme clumsiness. I enjoyed how their story developed, how Hunter knew what he wanted and his methods for pursuing it. Even the reasons for Kate's clumsiness made great sense and added to the character's personality.I believe this was the first novel by Ms. Johnson I've read, but I'll keep my eyes open for more from her in the future. meskipun awalnya agak ragu mau baca, tapi setelah baca ternyata BAGUSSSSS....lady kate orangnya ceroboh (punya masalah dengan keseimbangan deh).. entah tu jatuh dilumpur, kepeleset atau pecahin vase.. selain tu dia juga keras kepala..banyak juga kisah kocaknya antara Lady Kate ma Mr. Hunter... and meskipun masih historical tapi sistemnya ga kayak historical banget soalnya ga sertamerta mencari seorang bersatatus tinggi.. yang ga punya title aja jadi buruan.. yang penting kaya..

snappy dialogue makes for an enjoyable read. I am interested in reading the 3 preceeding novels
