I thought this book was good when i thought it had some parallels to the Count of Monte Cristo. Then I found out that is exactly what this book was supposed to be. The Count is one of my favorite books and I really enjoyed this Modern day adaptation to one of my all time favorites. It was a pleasant read and I accomplished it in to main sittings. It was interesting to see how Raymond would exact his revenge on those who did him wrong and I found myself eagerly turning every page to see what would happen next. Tim Green does an excellent job in this novel.

Sometimes, when I read a re-telling of a classic, I am sorely disappointed. The Count of Monte Cristo is not only a classic: it is a book I have loved for decades.
