About book Friends With Partial Benefits (2014)

Jillian is a erotic romance writer who is published under a pen name. She's having difficulty with her latest book due to her husband cheating on her and their divorce. Her son, Rob, is a senior in college, and brings home a friend with him over spring break. Brian, his friend, has been pining over a girl at school, who has been teasing him and leading him on. Spring break was supposed to help Brian get his mind off of said girl.Of course, there's an inappropriate and obvious chemistry between Jillian and Brian. They bond over a love and passion for tennis. After a long and torturous few days of stepping around their connection, they give in to their desires. The sex scenes are hot. I kind of wish there were more details for those scenes. Jillian's best friend, Victoria, makes for a great comical relief. I laughed at parts of this book because it was just downright funny, because it was intended to be funny. This book was free to download and I couldn't be happier about reading it! There are more books to this series and I plan on buying them because I'm very curious to see what happens next! I struggled to like this book. The plot should have been enough to like but I just didn't connect with the characters. I found Jillian creepy at points especially the bedroom scene, Rob was incredibly unpleasant as was Natalie. The sex scenes were lacking and wooden.Jillian is recovering from a divorce, trying to learn to trust men again as she begins to date. Jillian's son brings his best friend Brian home for Spring Break. Rob spends a lot of time with his girlfriend throwing Jillian and Brian together, an attraction if obvious but will they be able to stay away from each other?
