About book How To Ride A Dragon's Storm (2000)

"We n-n-need you, M-m-master! These h-h-humans don't know what they're doing!"Haha That was my favorite line in the whole book! Finally Toothless is learning to appreciate his master. This story starts off with the tribes participating in a "friendly" swimming competition. In which, of course, Hiccup and his friends got into trouble. An old enemy caused Hiccup to be captured and taken to The Dream Land that doesn't exist (America). We are acquainted with new dragons and join Hiccup in his quest to free slaves and escape home, and save his tribe without being killed. Fun stuff. And, as usual, Hiccup had some ingenious ways of making things work.As usual, I enjoyed this Hiccup adventure and the loyalty his friends showed. Particularly Fishlegs. But sadly, the ends with some foreboding feeling. Like things are going to go from comical to hard stuff in the coming books :(I just wish Hiccup had made a better demand at the end. Like "Dragonese is no longer forbidden" or "Slavemarka should not affect a person's eligibility to rule", silly boyPoint is, if you haven't already....Read it! ;) Especially all HTTYD fans :) This seventh installment to one of my favorite series, begins with a Viking style swim off - who can stay out a sea longer? What ensues is a typical and fun adventure including all the favorite characters: Hiccup, Fishlegs, Camicazi, Toothless, etc. This adventure stayed mostly to the seas, and here we see the beginning of a darkness that sets the tone for the books to come. Hiccup deals with the cruelty of slavery (of humans) and it seems his actions on this adventure will definitely mark him for life. Cowell has yet to disappoint, this is a great series.
