Jaqueline is a princess with an overprotective mother and a somewhat understanding brother. Cam is Lord Bedwyr, but is really known more for putting out the eye of his best friend and cousin Luc, the Duke of "I Married the Duke". When Cam finds her diary and reads her innermost feelings about him, he is amazed. He knows he is not the right man for her, but she does intrigue him. Good short story to follow Luc and Arabella's book. Looking forward to the next book. Katharine Ashe has done it again...she has taken two different characters and joined them in the happy ending all romance readers crave. Her shy, bookish princess and her rumored rake (yeah, the one with the golden hair and dreamy features) parry throughout the story. I loved the diary, the poetry, the strong woman she becomes, and the love-worthy man he grows into. Though this claims to be a Christmas romance, I suggest you read it the moment you get your hands on it. It is a story worthy of any day of the year.
