Tom and Lauren have loved each other since their childhood in Texas. They are separated when Lauren moves with her family to England, Tom promises to come for her when he has enough money to provide for them and bring her back to Texas. Years later Tom finds out he is the long lost Earl of Sachse. Lauren is shocked. She thinks he abandon her,but things are not as they seem, because someone has interfered in their relationship. This story was amazing very well written, great characterization, great banter between all of the characters, very good back story. This was what a real Romance Story should be like. Ms Heath took the story from their childhood to the very end of their lives!!! I have not read a story this romantic and moving in a long time!!! I couldn't put this book down!!! Its a Keeper!! Thank You Ms. Heath and I look forward to reading more of your books.!!

This is the second time I would say that Lorraine Heath's story is magical. This story, Promise me Forever, is as magical as her other stories I have read. So far I'm not yet disappointed.Promise me Forever is a story about love found too prematurely, lost then found again. The choice of words might be cheesy or redundant but it can be forgiven nonetheless, because what shines the most if the story between this two people in love.The end is achingly poignant. It didn't fail to make me smile because the ending pointed that love can go beyond eternity. The title was apt because it told how love between this two lasted--forever.It is saddening that Heath is underrated when she deserves to have a great place in HR world because she is just a good writer. This isn't the last time I would read from her. I would continue reading the rest of the story she has to share. :)

Tom and Lauren fell in love as teens in Texas. Shortly thereafter, Lauren's family took her to London to live. Tom promised to write every day, but Lauren never received any letters. After 10 years, he suddenly appears in her drawing room. He's just found out he's the lost Earl of Sachse and has come to take over the responsibilities of his position. They are both still drawn to the other, but Lauren is miserable in London. She wants to go home to Texas. Tom tells Lauren he wants her to help him learn the rules of the Ton. In exchange, he'll pay her passage back to Texas - knowing that this will take her away from him forever.Ms. Heath is very good at describing the differences between being a man in Texas and a man in London. She also describes the expectations of propriety, especially for women, in London. Conversely she is able to convey the hypocrisy of those expectations, showing young ladies needing to behave a certain way just to land a husband. Real friendships are hard to find after you sift through the gossip and the cattiness.I loved the relationship between Tom and Lauren. The times they spent together, just talking, coming to know one another again, were especially well-written. It was easy for me to see how they fell in love with one another again, and I felt the pain and uncertainty of the decisions they were making.Although a lot of people complained about the epilogue, it didn't bother me. I would have been just as happy to not have it in the book, however.
