About book The Saddest Girl In The World (2009)

This was the first Cathy Glass book I've read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked getting to know the characters. It's so sad to know that her books are real stories based on the children she's fostered, because these kids are obviously not treated very well. I found myself not wanting to stop reading, and wondering "what happens next?" The layout of the book is good, Cathy provided enough information and didn't leave any questions for me at the end. If you like nonfiction books and can handle the subject matter of abused kids I would highly recommend this book. To say that I enjoyed this book would not be appropriate given it's subject matter. It was thought provoking and informative. It was like reading clinical notes in a medical file, succinct, specific and factual. The writing is objective and true to the primary purpose of this book - to highlight the sad and tragic tale of this young girl.I appreciated learning more about the tireless efforts of both social workers and foster carers to ensure the safety of those children, who through no fault of their own, have been abused and neglected.Borrowed from Amazon
