Era el libro final de la serie, el que más ganas tenía de leer, con unos protagonistas que habíamos entrevisto en los restantes libros a través de las cartas que Hust enviaba a sus hermanos... y al final ha resultado ser el menos emocionante de todos, y teniendo en cuenta que en el primero la protagonista se pasaba la mayor parte del tiempo encerrada en un cuarto, eso es mucho decir.El problema no han sido solo las expectativas que me había creado la serie, sino que el propio libro prometía mucho mostrándonos lo especiales que Hust y Jane eran para la alta sociedad inglesa, lo particulares que se habían vuelto y el misterio que envolvía el pasado de Jane y la isla de Barra, para luego resolverse de un plumazo y de una forma tan sosa que te hace sentir estafada por la autora.Tenía más libros suyos en la pila, pero creo que lo mejor es dejarlos un tiempo aparcados antes de decidirme a darles una oportunidad. I really enjoyed this books. In the typical Karen Hawkins style, it had humor and truly likable characters. You wanted to root for Jane and Michael to not just find their way back to each, but to find themselves as people. Jane was a bit unconventional and I like that in my stories. She wasn't a cookie character heroine that sat around pining away to fall into his arms the moment he arrives. Jane had, in many ways, set out to forge her own destiny. She just needed Michael to wake up and see all she had to offer. There is a little but of everything in this book: romance, mystery, sensuality, humor (lots of humor) and brains. You don't have to think the whole time you read it, but it is definitely a more intelligent romance that many out there. I loved it! And you can never go wrong with her books!
