About book Vampirblut (2012)

I liked this series and the world that Yasmine creates. It takes a little bit of time to get use too with the way it is written a little bit rough around the edges but overall I like the sisters and the relationship that they have together and with their friends. I wish there weren't so many sex scenes that are a little bit over the top with the way they were written but overall the stories are entertaining. There isn't any good images that I can use for this. I don't like Menolly's character, never had, never will. But it's part of the series ya know? So there would have to be SOMETHING in the book to carry on to the following book.... right? Nope.... Unless you count the drama with Camille and her three sex gods. Or the sorta love triangle with the Blood Wyne's son and the were-puma Menolly has going on. That is all very good stuff. But has anyone noticed in each of Menolly's Books they are very low key and always has something to do with vampires? OK I get it she's a vampire. That was well stated in the VERY FIRST BOOK. It's either Camille or Delilah that has some sort of action with it comes to the uber big bads (IE- Shadow Wing and the collecting of the gem things that will solidify the worlds together.)Next to that wicked fight between Sally and what had gone down because she had given into her inner predator, and had asked Menolly to in a sense put her down. That was sad and in the end very well written out with everyone that Sally knew and had lost were reunited in the after life. She got her peace. The fact that Sally had left her mansion to the VA was the best thing that could have happened. And Erin (Menolly's "daughter" that she sired) is finally learning and growing into her own, with out the insane shit that Sally was putting her through. IMHO I think Menolly needs to grow a spine... She doesn't seem to think strongly of herself, like she's holding back. She needs someone strong and someone gentle... And honestly? That love triangle thing that's going on? Could be for the best.

The HVIC [Head Vampire In Charge] is Back!I strongly recommend you read this series in order (Witchling, Changeling, Darkling, Dragon Wytch, Night Huntress, Demon Mistress, Bone Magic and Harvest Hunting) prior to reading this installment. This was a bloody Good Read! Menolly's behavior in this installment was night and day compared to the disappointing twit she turned into in Demon Mistress. She has redeemed herself in my eyes. In this installment, she is in complete control of herself and she's knows and loves who she is.This series has had a nice bounce-back for me. I stopped reading it for a while after Demon Mistress, however, it looks like I should've stuck it out because the sisters are totally on their game now.I really enjoyed the mystery in this installment. There were only a couple sex scenes and they were not pointless or horrible, like the scenes from Demon Mistress.I judge most books by an entertainment stand-point and this one was definitely a winner. I hardly every put this book down and at the times were I was forced to put it down, I couldn't wait to pick it back up to see what would happen next.I never thought I'd say/post this again about this series, but I recommend it to fellow dark urban fantasy readers and eagerly look forward to reading the next book Courting Darkness.I also recommend:Kissed by Darkness (Sunwalker Saga)Ravenous: The Dark ForgottenPleasure Unbound (Demonica, Book 1)Green-Eyed Demon (Sabina Kane)Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, Book 1)

The Sisters of the Moon are back and this time, Menolly’s the prime focus. She’s got a lot of tough choices ahead, but hopefully everything will fall into place (as best it can). Menolly does worry that the paths the sisters are on will lead them apart, but every path can lead to the same destination. The sisters work best together and they’re just one big family – with their own sets of issues – but a wonderful dynamic that makes the stories so wonderful to read over and over again. Blood Wyne has action, sizzling romance, and some majorly startling discoveries that will cost dearly. I love that Ms. Galenorn doesn’t let the danger and darkness of the sisters’ paths completely overrule the hope and lightheartedness that they naturally possess. This series just gets better and better!Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon series: Witchling (1), Changeling (2), Darkling (3), Dragon Wytch (4), Night Huntress (5), Demon Mistress (6), Bone Magic (7), Harvest Hunting (8), Blood Wyne (9), Courting Darkness (10), Shaded Vision (11), Shadow Rising (12), Haunted Moon (13), Autumn Whispers (14), Crimson Veil (15)
