About book Irresistible Lines (2013)

Very limited hot action in this book, much different from the first few books in the series, and still an extremely short read. But there is a lot of story going on so things are starting to change in a new direction. John Zane was furious with Cadence over her performance with John Cruze for the movie & threatened to hurt Cadence's estranged brother Travis. In the end Zane tells Cadence what happens to Travis & I don't quite believe it - I feel there is a bigger story here that we'll find out in subsequent books. Zane doesn't have any of the serious tone & anger from the last book; as a matter of fact he has some serious problems with the illegal world he lives in & knows his time with Cadence is brief. He turns extremely loving towards her, hence the limited hot action. Cadence knows something is going on with Zane since she has streets smarts & knows how to read people. I also got a vibe from Cadence that she is emotionally attached to Zane - not the same as the attraction she feels for John Cruze but still very connected. The ending is a shock since I figured if Zane was separating himself from Cadence it would end up being something violent. Cadence has the world of luxury in her lap, the entire studio to run, Zane is on the run, and she can have Cruze to herself?? I don't think it is going to work out that easily but can't wait to read the next book to find out! I can't decide who I want Candace with. All along its been Cruze bit after reading this I have a soft spot for Zane. Questions answered only to be challanged with new mysteries. On one hand I feel like she is trying to end the series but on the other I'm wondering if she is leading the reader in a new direction to stir more drama. I'm eager for more & can't even begin to think how this will play out.

Do You like book Irresistible Lines (2013)?

I feel like this book was short compared to the others (don't know if it actually is).
